Spiritual Warfare
We were born into a world that is at war. We have an ancient enemy who despises and fears the followers of Jesus Christ. Retreat is not an option. This study is aimed at helping the church to "arm itself" and walk in the authority Jesus has given us to not only push back spiritual darkness but by the Holy Spirit's power to set captives free. The following are part of that body of teaching.

· Armored for Battle
· Authority to do as Jesus did
· Discernment, words of knowledge & wisdom
· Strongholds & dismantling them
· Dealing with the demonic
· Prayer and fasting

It draws of 27 years of cross-cultural mission work in the former Communist Pioneer Youth Camps in the region of St. Petersburg, Russia and applies it to sharing the Gospel next door and where ever Jesus deploys you. The following are part of that body of teaching.
· Know your target group
· Cultural arrogance & cultural blindness
· Looking for the footprints of Jesus
· Real evangelism is relational
· The "Jesus Way" of missions
· Examples from the field
· Taking the time...because Jesus took the time with you
· "Life Orientation" vs "Event Orientation"
· Disciples...not converts
· Intimacy with Jesus and walking in the Spirit
Life lived in Prayer
Communication is at the heart of every flourishing relationship. It takes both speaking and listening. God has called us into a intimacy with Himself that is utterly astounding and that is meant to be life transforming. Prayer is the ground of God's work in the world. Since the church's ministry is what God gives to it, it's a good idea to know what God actually wants us to be about. Prayer is not optional; it is essential. The following are part of that body of teaching.
· Mystery and Power
· Why Pray?
· Communication and communion: Praying God's Word
· Kingdom Oriented Prayer
· Luther's "Simplest way"
· Personal Prayer: Talking to God...Listening to God
· Corporate Prayer: Worship & Special gatherings just for Prayer
· Intercession
· Warfare Prayer
· Persevering/Prevailing Prayer
· Thanksgiving prayer
